Thank you to Conepuppy and Jen from Cyberwurx who just pledged me on behalf of ASACP — For those who don’t know what this great organization does, please visit them. As for Cyberwurx, I’ve done business with them for years, and they have been a premier web host since 1997. Go check them out for killer hosting deals and tell Conepuppy that TDavid sent you.
Tabasco: The most I’ve ever eaten in a single setting is 2 1/2 of the smallest bottles. At lunch time I should be eating something to put Tabasco on, but in my next entry I’ll have what I am eating for breakfast this morning (not that it’s all that interesting, but it keeps the train moving)
This just in! First of all I lost what I originally typed (doh!) so the story of Boris, briefly, is as follows: he was on the move! I noticed something moving out of the corner of my eye and it was Boris. So I gently scooped him up and took him outside and released him. Kara doesn’t dig spiders and she also has a desk in this office, so I had to get him out of the room. I didn’t eat him, sorry to those with bug fetishes!
I think it was my Dad who got me hooked on the sauce. No, not the alcohol sauce, though both my parents are alcoholics. In fact, my mom died in October 1996 from cirrohsis (needed dictionary.com for that one); I still think of Mom every day. I wrote a song for her when she died called She’s On That Road. Maybe someday I’ll share that song online.
I digress. So dad got me hooked on Tabasco sauce. He would put Tabasco on eggs, steak, and pretty much anything that wasn’t sweet, and I acquired at a very early age this taste for Tabasco. Tabasco is really good for you, too, as it contains only these three ingredients (no preservatives or other garbage): distilled vinegar, red pepper, salt. I don’t eat Tabasco on anything sweet or in drinks, so no ice cream or bloody marys. Speaking of drinking, I don’t drink coffee so this Blogathon could get real interesting in the final 6 hours or so. Don’t forget I’ll be doing a LIVE radio show the last 2 hours of this Blogathon which is 4am PST / 7pm EST. Ok, I’m going to work on plugging in this webcam. I’ll have more Tabasco info in my next entry, telling you all about the most tabasco sauce I’ve consumed in a single sitting (you might be shocked).
Back from the office with webcam USB cord in hand and am working on hooking up the webcam (see pic). When I get this running, then next I’m going to take a more detailed look around at what the other blogathon bloggers are up to. In the mean time, you can click on the webring above and surf what’s happening with some of them.
A fellow blogathon blogger, Nyki, just stopped by to comment on the existence of Boris and as to what I might do with him. She is blogging on behalf of the Kansas Humane Society, so if I were to kill Boris, I do not think I’d sit well with her charity drive.
This hour is officially: The Tabasco Hour! I promise to tell all, the first time online, why I love Tabasco sauce so much! Maybe I’ll put some tabasco on Boris and eat him for breakfast. (Sorry, squeamish readers, it’s early still, my sense of humor is lacking). Seriously, while on this subject did anybody wake up the other day to those gruesome pics of Saddam’s sons? Yikes!
Just jumped in and out of the shower. Got to look good for the web camera (yeah, right) when it goes on! LOL I noticed that I left the cord to the camera — I know, likely story — at my office. Fortunately my office is only three blocks away, so I’m going to jump in and go pick up that cord as well as my laptop between now and my next required Blogathon 2003 entry. I’m curious, so how do you keep all your cords (USB) organized for your various devices? Go ahead and click the comment link and tell me about it. I don’t have the best organizational scheme it would seem. In the digital camera carrying bag, there is special zipper pouch for the USB cord.
I put on Radio @ AOL and am currently listening to the Hair Metal channel. Playing now: Warrant - Heaven
It was bound to happen sooner or later. Someone, perhaps anonymously, thinks this makeyougohmm.com blog sucks and someone else ’hates it’ and voted that way. At the time of this entry, I have the bloghop rating code so folks can vote on the value of kara and my musings listed along the left column. We have 9 votes to date. Will you poke around, read through this weblog and give it a rating?
Did an entry make you think for at least a few seconds? Yes? Then vote in the green, but if we didn’t then go right ahead and vote in the red. In the middle? Click the yellow. Can’t guarantee that our entries will always pique your curiosity, but if you think it sucks or is really great then a few comments somewhere on the entries of interest would be encouraging to see.
Love it!! click -> Good click -> Okay click -> Sucks click -> Hate it click ->
I must admit I wonder how can anybody hate something like a blog. I can see dislike; I can see sucks, but hatred? I gave Terminator 3 an F in my review which is certainly subject to debate, but I didn’t hate the movie, I just thought it sucked.
That word, hate, to me involves something that doesn’t really apply to anything online because we have pretty much free will to roam wherever, whenever. However I am with bloghop’s rating system and you are welcome to leave your comments by clicking any entry link and please vote — because a single vote, good or bad, is better than no votes at all

The spider hasn’t moved!
Oh, BTW, the B3 in the title means that this is my 3rd entry during the Blogathon 2003. It’s time to name the spider on the wall next to my computer. What should we call him? The Who had that tune, Boris the Spider
Recorded at Pye Studios, London in October 1966. John’s creepy, crawly story, the very first song he wrote for The Who, endured as a live favourite throughout their entire career.
To follow along with the Blogathon 2003 I’m preparing a webcam where you can watch my ugly mug. I’ll have the URL in and by (hopefully) my next entry. The webcam biz has surely exploded, hasn’t it? These days you often will get a webcam packaged with a new computer purchase. The cam I’m using today is the Aiptek DV 3100. Ok, ok, so what am I going to be doing today over the next 24 hours? Isn’t it about time I spilled it? Here goes:
Building an interactive game that interfaces with this blog — and with you, kind blog readers. This game will entirely be coded from ground up today and I’ll be sharing the progress of this game throughout the next 24 hours.
(Wow, just noticed that there is this spider on the wall! Is this good luck? Let me get a pic to share!)

I am totally down with spiders, though they do creep me out a bit. Remember William Shatner in Kingdom of The Spiders
I’m up, I’m here, and I’m at it! The Blogathon 2003 has begun! The next 24 hours will entail much, I have to keep this one a bit short but my next entry will begin to carry the details of what I’ll be doing here over the next 24 hours. At least once every 30 minutes I’ll be posting.
Thank you to those who have made a pledge for me on behalf of ASACP. If you would like to pledge something, just click here. There’s still time!B
I read about this study (source: UF study: Web is safe space for cyber affairs) and have heard this before that chatrooms were a haven for secret affairs. I’ve seen and read the raging online debate whether cybersex was cheating or not. There are lots of secrets that people in marriages keep from each other and that is the kind of stuff that needs to be opened up, in my opinion. What people in marriage should ask themselves is what they can do for their partner, what turns their partner on. It’s not get married and get bored with each other and look elsewhere for sex. I think the problem with divorce is that people don’t get in with the attitude that they are going to keep the lines of communication wide open.
Hmmm, time for me to go to bed as the Blogathon 2003 starts in just 5 hours! I will be writing what the plans are when I wake up. Looks like I will not be having a full 8 hours sleep. That should make things interesting …

(story: Typing for a good cause) Blogathon 2003 continues to get good press. It will be starting soon! I shared more details on what is happening with this blog on today’s live radio show
Unsuspecting grandparents and roommates are among the first, according to this article to be fleshed out by the RIAA in their seemingly unending quest against digital pirates.
Over the coming months this may be the internet’s equivalent of “shock and awe” - the stunning discovery by music fans across America that copyright lawyers can pierce the presumed anonymity of file-sharing, even for computer users hiding behind nicknames such as “hottdude0587″ or “bluemonkey13.”
I’m not sure the comparison to the Iraq shock and awe is appropriate or relevant, but I think this will raise the awareness level for internet users who share their accounts with others to be more careful. Check out this humorous cartoon on the RIAA that I found using Google images search. The cartoon is from designer cosmo7
