Hmmcast #1: spiders, faces, groups, ++jury_duty, –hearing |
And so begins the inaugral episode of the Hmm podcast which I’m choosing to further distort the ‘cast’ name to be Hmmcast. No, I’m not thinking hmmcasting will have some great cultural impact, but it seemed like an appropriate name.
This isn’t the first time a podcast has appeared here. We’ve had interviews rolled out as podcasts, there’s even a section (oops, that should be singular: one interview) dedicated to these, er this, interview, but I felt after crossing the 3,000 post mark a little while back, it would be nice to pick out the most hmm-worthy posts of the week. It would then make the process of some sort of year end best of easier to compile too.
Of course if I had actually started doing this at the beginning of the year it would have made the most sense, but oh well, we start with second quarter and move forward.
In the spirit of podcasting I wanted to keep this effort short, so it will be billed as a five minute show. Might go less, might go over, but that’s the target time. Five minutes on five or more Hmm posts from the week. What’s in this for readers? Well, if you leave an inspiring hmm-worthy comment on one of the chosen posts then you just might be mentioned. Everybody loves a plug, right?
So gather around the Hmmfire as we look back at the last week in what hopes to be a weekly feature every Friday around, well, now.
