About MakeYouGoHmm and authors

by TDavid @ 8:18 am PST

MakeYouGoHmm.com was created on July 4, 2003 and the principle author, me, TDavid, has co-owned and operated various websites since the mid 90s under the company name of KMR Enterprises. At times we have had contributions from a few other authors, but about 99% of the published post content is written by me, hence the reason I chose to write this about page (mostly) in the first person. It is technically correct to use ‘we’ though as there is more than one person both currently and in the past involved with the published material at makeyougohmm.com.

Disclosures and disclaimers at MakeYouGoHmm
Where it is material it will be mentioned in the post body if the author owns any stock in the company being writing about. The parent company KMR Enterprises has had or has various vendor and affiliate relationships and it is the goal of the publication to address those connections as well so readers can make their own determination about editorial bias. For example, when we were doing business with ReviewMe — we are not doing these any longer — we indicated on those review posts prominently at the top that the review was paid for. The opinion or review score was never for sale.

We have also begun adding rel=nofollow to affiliate links in posts to make it easier for readers to identify and to satisfy search engine guidelines. We do not use rel=nofollow on legitimate comments left in the comment area. You can read our formal privacy policy here.

Zune podcast area
Zune Social static cardOn June 1, 2008 KMR Enterprises officially became a Microsoft vendor and will be providing assistance specifically with the Zune podcasting area for a little while. A new category at MakeYouGoHmm is being created for any Zune-related posts going forward. While this vendor contract remains in force a disclaimer will be carried on the posts made during this time. If you are a podcaster and need help with a podcast submission in Zune while we still have a contract in place with Microsoft Zune, feel free to contact me, TDavid, at Skype or on Twitter (same name) and I’ll try and help.
