Can’t say much about the developer side of Ning yet, but I’m signed up and awaiting a response to: “Developer Request Pending.” Will report back on how long that took, as well as my thoughts on the service, as an update or separate blog entry after being able to spend some time with the service.

Ning described itself as: “…We’ve built an online service (or Playground, as we like to call it) for building and using social applications. Social “apps” are web applications that enable people to match, transact, and communicate with other people. ”
