MacGruber is the best SNL repeating skit in years |
One of my favorite parts of Saturday Night Live over the years has been the repeatable skits like the classic Mr. Bill, the Coneheads, Da Bears with Chris Farley (anything with Chris Farley), Eddie Murphy as Mr. Rogers and most recently MacGruber.
I’m not a big fan of any of the current SNL cast, but these MacGruber skits are a riot. Thanks to NBC and Hulu you can watch a bunch of them. Hilarious.net has collected all of them to date as well.
MacGruber is a spoof on the 80s show Macgyver, the guy who could get out of jams using normal household objects. I can’t get the MacGruber theme song out of my head.
Over the weekend I hung my first interior door which at times was equally comical. Was able to bust up the tense moments by singing the MacGruber song.
I’m sure some might disagree but I think MacGruber is an SNL classic skit and worthy of tuning in each week to check out – or DVR through to see if there are new episodes. Or just wait for Hulu to have them. What do you like, if anything, about the current SNL?

My favorite sketches have always been the news reports that they do. Their Oh Really with Seth and Amy segment always leaves me laughing. I also like the skit where they have a couple of guys drinking together and then they tell really shocking stories and pretend like it’s normal.

Right around superbowl time they had Richard Dean Anderson, with his McGyver haircut in a MacGruber skit, and MacGruber became PepSuber. you can also follow @PepSuber on twitter…

I don’t even watch SNL anymore, but will watch this for sure. I love when people point out great humor to me. I hate to miss it!

I read today that they are making the skit into a movie. So the question will this be a Wayne’s World quality movie or one of the many bombs from SNL.

We have to record SNL every Saturday just to watch MacGruber. I didn’t care for the superbowl Pepsuber.

I agree that skit is really pretty funny the one where the Rock hosted and the real McGyver was on it was really funny and the lady that is on that skit is really funny not on that skit particularly but in other skits she usually steals the show with her funny faces she makes. i think that she is the best part of the show now but snl really has been a lot better in the last season than in the last couple I think.

I didn’t get these skits until I looked up some old episodes of Macgyver. I don’t know what is funnier, the original show or the SNL segments.
