Sounds like an interesting experiment. I was about to say 'wow 500 feeds', then I looked at how many I follow. It is amazing how the numbers build up! As for 4, I hope it works out and works out well for you1

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, but guess that it's a new paid gig, but doesnt have to do with blogging directly?

Hi Ravi - I saw the option for adding those ads to blip.tv but never tried that. Thought about trying it a few times but didn't really feel ready to monetize. I was more open to monetizing the podcasts (through dedicated sponsor(s)) like we've done with our web streaming radio show. Nice suggestion, though, and might try that going forward.

And you have one part of #4 correct and the other incorrect, but I'm not going to say which part ;)

You should use blip.tv's flash Show Player for the Hmmcasts going forward -- they can add an optimal blend of advertising (overlays, prerolls, postrolls, etc) and give you 50% of the profits. If I rememeber correctly, you already paid for a pro subscription, might as well make some money off of it (instead of the player you were using, which doesnt support any advertising, I think).

Oh, and I'm very intrigued in #4, but I have no idea...perhaps you have a new paid blogging gig?
