The concert at the Allstate arena was honestly the best show I've seen in a long time! Eddie and his son complimented each other SO well and you could just tell the dynamics were blowing up on stage! Never have I heard a band sound so close to their CDs! David Lee Roth was still up there doing high kicks and all! I'm sorry you guys missed out on a really GREAT show! I hope all of you can experience what we did in Chicago on 10/16!!! It seriously was the concert of the year!!! Great show lots of energy. Rocked from beginning to end. Stood the whole time, pumping my fist, bobbing my head and singing out loud. Alot of people complained about the volume, but to me it was "old skool" loud. Ears were ringing into the next day. Felt like and sounded like a concert 25-20 years ago. Low tech by today's standards. Lasers (haven't seen them in a while). Even a disco ball and confetti. Woflgang played alright, but he looked out of place. Man, Michael Anthony was missed. The sound was poor with lots of feedback and the backing vocals were canned. I heard M.A. but didn't see him and heard Dave's vocals with his mouth nowhere near a microphone. The set list was great but the energy just wasn't there. everyone tells me the show at the Allstate Arena on Tues. was much better. I guess it was an off night on the tour. Eddie was in fine form when you could hear him in the muddy mix but all in all it was a disappointing show. Went to the United Center show in Chicago. Cleveland, they just released seats (likely the VIP gold package seats that didn't sell through the band's ticketing plan) I was in Charlotte for work, and there are definitely tickets to be had outside the venue prior to showtime, and on opening night, they were at face value.
