Edit CSS in split screen with CSSVista |
Despite the title, CSSVista runs in Windows XP, and will allow you to edit Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) in a split screen interface so you can see how your CSS changes will impact the actual design.

CSS is a freeware download. This could be handy WYSIWYG editor for blog theme designers.
Did this post make you go hmm?

Does the Firebug extension for Firefox do something similar? I remember reading that somewhere, but I havent installed it yet (my browser of choice is Maxthon).
Realized I need a program that does this after spending far too long altering my blog’s theme, one edit at a time in Wordpress’s backend, saving it, and reloading the target page.

Firebug has memory leak issues, Ravi, hence the reason I’ve shied away from using that one. I like this because it isn’t confined in your browser window. It’s a slick little app and the price is right (free)

The price and the very simple design are what got me to download this…thanks for showing it to me!
Only problem is that the “Split View” button and menu option are both disabled for me, so I can only only use IE7 to preview my site.
Dropped a message to the developers in their live chat, but no word back yet…any tips?

Nvm, figured it out.
Have to click ‘Edit CSS’ first, then it will automatically go to the split view. It kept freezing on me when I tried that, so I tried to split the view first. It tkaes a while to get the CSS, but it *will* get it eventually.
Anyhow, thanks for the tipoff on this great program!
