Noticing the spinning gray logo at Skype last night and this morning?

Skype says they are working on the problem and to just keep your Skype client running. Doesn’t sound like any new downloads will be required. They expect to have the login issues fixed within 12-24 hours. Yikes. Since this is our primary business line this is a bit problematic. First time since I’ve been using Skype as a business line that they’ve had this kind of outage and let’s hope this isn’t repeated any time soon. It makes their service less desirable to/for businesses.

Their engineering department has determined it’s a software issue. What, did they hire some people from Linden Lab? Second Life easily has the worst live software rollout program we’ve seen and experienced.

Just tested calling our business skype number and voicemail is working fortunately. Wow, just as I went to hit publish, the Skype login icon turned green. I’m going to publish anyway just in case other Skype users are still showing gray. Check that, it’s gray again.
