Yesterday Fred asked how loud the fan noise was with our new nVidia graphics card. It’s not the fan that I’ve noticed as much as the bright power LED. Ahh, but there is a solution for that …

  2. I hope it’s a clean sock at least.

    I usually stick a piece of scotch tape over LED’s like that. You can color over the tape with a sharpie before applying it to darken it even more. Just make sure the tape isn’t touching directly on the LED.

  3. LOL, of course it’s a clean, washed sock :) I’m familiar with that trick but I didn’t want to put any adhesive on the machine. If I was going to do that I’d probably use black electrical tape.
