A stunning announcement from Sharon Osbourne that Ozzfest 2007 ticket prices will be FREE:
That’s right, OZZY and SHARON OSBOURNE and tour producer LIVE NATION broke the news today at the Concert Industry Consortium in Los Angeles that their 12th annual hard rock spectacular–a 25-date extravaganza launching July 7 in Los Angeles–is pulling the plug on ticket prices and giving the power back to the fans calling this summer’s OZZFEST “FreeFest.” The other OZZFEST cities as of now are San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio, Kansas City, St Louis, Chicago, Indianapolis, Columbus, Pittsburgh, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Hartford, Charlotte, Atlanta, West Palm Beach, Nashville. Note: a final confirmed list of cities and dates is forthcoming.
Ozzy will be on the bill sporting some tracks from his forthcoming new CD and headlining the event. This will be great exposure for the Ozzman’s new material. How many other bands will be clamoring to get in on what will likely be the biggest concert event this summer.
Will this be a field day for scalpers or will they come up with some unique way of making sure the tickets are distributed fairly? Is this the Google Adsense model of concerts or what? $20 water?
How to take advantage of this offer that is bound to have tickets dissappear in record time:
To gain entry into the event, fans will go to www.ozzfest.com or www.livenation.com to find links that will direct them to special sponsor sites where tickets can be secured.
I went and told our oldest son about this offer and he is psyched. We’re going to be watching for these tickets and hope we can bag a few. We went to Ozzfest 2004 and had a great time watching the return of Judas Priest and seeing Black Sabbath for the first time.
Got to hand it to Sharon, this is unexpected.

I have been taking my family including my two boys since they were 7 and 4 to the Ozzfest festival in Manasses VA at the Nissan Pavvion missing only one show( my car broke down on the way). I save money every year to purchase tickets to go to the festival which this year my brother was/is going with us. It looks virtually impossibe to obtain tickets to this years show since I have been told by a dj at a local radio that they will be passed out by the promoters and radio stations. I just do not see how I will be able to get 5 tickets. I would really hate to break this Ozzfest family tradition because I am unable to buy free tickets.

hey all, could you possibly tell me if they are having Ozzfest at the Nissan Pavvion this summer (2007)? my dad’s actually letting me go this year (as he can’t argue about price issues) and well…..i need to know the dates and times and everything.

This is from a close friend of Javier Robles. Javier is a 14 year old Boy who is Ozzy biggest fan. To have a young adult look up to Ozzy and be so fascinated by the man and his work is a amazement in the kid. Javier Knows and follows up on Ozzy everyday of his life. For as young as he is you will not find a more educated adult who loves Ozzy. As great as it is to see him idolize such a great man Javier has got the meaning of dressing black and being “Gothic” very wrong and he does know everything there is to know about Ozzy He need
