This is something I wrote a couple weeks ago and didn’t publish. Since we’ve been talking about Martha a little bit today in the IRC chat, I decided to publish.

On Howard Stern’s final radio show of 2006 (December 21, 2006) Martha Stewart stopped in the studio. Whether you like or dislike Howard Stern he does very interesting, entertaining and often personally revealing interviews. Before Martha would come into the studio there was a conflict with her attorney over signing a release statement. Ultimately she refused to sign but was still let on the show.

Some of the things Martha revealed to Howard:

- Martha’s trial cost her all her close friends
- she paid $1,200 for the Thumper for massage (sexual stimulation). Never heard of the Thumper vibrator nor could a quick search locate one that cost $1,200 (I’m not doubting nor looking to buy one, lol)
- she isn’t interested in lesbianism, nor was she forced into that in prison. Martha: “It doesn’t appeal to me.”
- she went five months without sex and then got some the minute she got out of prison
- she thinks men are afraid of her and doesn’t get many date requests
- Martha is currently dating a retired Microsofty Microsoftie (thanks for the human spellchecking, Nathan). They threw in a joke about Micro-hard (you can guess the context, but it dealt with when Martha got out of prison).

Like Howard, Martha has a channel (112) on Sirius too. Haven’t listened to her channel but Howard’s channel is a daily stop during the weekdays when Howard is live. Right now he’s running through a best of 2006 shows. On New Year’s Eve Stern sidekick and comedian Artie Lange will be ringing in the New Year’s live on Howard 101.

I finally joined the satellite radio movement in September 2006. Our oldest son has the Stiletto 100 and enjoys channel 19, BuzzSaw (rock). We’ll be keeping our two satellite subscriptions into 2007, so the next time somebody says who would pay for radio you have at least one name. I’d rather pay for satellite radio than TV because radio is something I can enjoy while working. I enjoy terrestrial radio too but the signal is pretty spotty at home and our offices. TV is much too distractive, unfortunately.

Update 12:57pm PST: Francisco IV seems to have tracked down the industrial Thumper here. This thing looks like something you’d find at the nearest Chiropractor and not something sex-oriented. Definitely makes me go Hmm. I guess women worth billions find expensive ways to masturbate?
