I place Rocky II above Rocky III. Rocky III is a better movie. However, Rocky II is when he wins the belt. The entire movie is crap with the exception of the training and the fight and that is enough to carry it. At the end of that fight when Rocky gets up before the 10 count and hangs on his trainer makes it all worth enduring the 90 minutes of shit that proceeded it. It should of went from Rocky III straight to Rocky Balboa because Rocky IV was total shit. We are supposed to believe that he ended the cold war? Um, no. Also, that movie did not have the Rocky training montage, which is what we all love to see. Rocky Balboa was a 3 star movie. I think they pulled the fight off spectacularly and it was a fitting end to the franchise. He was funny in it and I think they displayed what he was going through exceptionally. Also, he got his millions back, which I love, from the pay per view proceeds. More about Rocky V....what a total crap movie. Here's the thing. They cheated us! There is no reason why he should be poor. It just doesn't happen. Even if he was broke then he would of got endorsements for beating Ivan Drago. However, when they were in his lawyer's office, his lawyer said that he couldn't get endorsements because he used to work for a loan shark (tony gazza?). But, he received plenty of endorsements in Rocky III. See, cheated us. I can suspend disbelieve, but not that much. My rankings...
