Dangerous wind cries |
If you were thinking of travelling to these parts — and I feel sorry for the folks at the Seahawks game tonight — I’d advise against it. Lights have been flickering wildly all day here, enough for me to nod my head in agreement at this dim KIRO weather report:
Out in the Pacific Ocean, a powerful storm is forming that will no doubt blow through western Washington tonight, packing a punch of rain, mountain snow and high winds. But while it is almost certain the storm will have an impact on our area, the question is always just how strong it will be.
Seattlest advises:
If you have a backyard, tie your crap down or bring it inside. We don’t want your patio furniture impaling our car. And if you have a car, might want to avoid parking it near any sickly trees.
Waving to my comrade across the sound, Sterling, to stay low and dry as it could get very ugly overnight. One of our son’s friends a scant two miles away has already lost power.
This has been the roughest weather conditions the greater Seattle area has faced in recent memory and we’re not even in the heart of winter yet. I hope the weather is better where you are at.
(Fully expecting somebody from tropical climate to make us envious below)
Did this post make you go hmm?

LOL, It’s been raining on and off all day here in Miami…. Of course temps are STILL in the 70’s…

Heh, getting the same weather you are, up here in Vancouver, BC. We’ve been under wind warnings for a couple days now. If the power goes out, I hope it’s while I’m at work, lol.

Great, that means we’ll end up with your winds mixed into our cold in the midwest in the days following.
