Eating on a floating restaurant |

To celebrate our 17th anniversary we took a three day getaway trip this past weekend. Today is the actual day of our anniversary and we are working, grabbing lunch together, and then hitting dinner and a movie later tonight. One of the things we did on our trip was eat at a floating restaurant in Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho.

The restaurant opens to the public at 4pm PST and we arrived around 6pm last night without a reservation.

We didn’t feel any movement inside the restaurant. If you live on the lake, you can drive your boat to the restaurant instead of car.

Most of the menu consists of seafood. I had prime rib and sauteed lobster and Kara had ravoli. We had some garlic bread for appetizer and salad bar. The food was excellent and the ambience was pleasant and romantic; jeans acceptable, semi-dress attire. Total cost with tip was $110 USD.
Definitely worth a visit if you are traveling through Coeur D’ Alene.

Congrats on the anniversary! Looks like you two had a great time. BTW how’s Kara coming along after surgery?

[…] I bet my wife would get a chuckle out of this ring, although I have no problem remembering our anniversary. It’s funny how many times we’ve been asked about our anniversary and people turn to me as if I’m not going to remember. It’s easy to remember because we had it 10 days before my birthday in 1989. All I have to remember is $my_birthday - 10 = $annivesary. I pity the guys who didn’t get an anniversary date that is easy to remember. […]
