Friendly reminder for Xbox 360 owners: Texas Hold’em for free |

Remember, for the first 48 hours in the Xbox Live Arcade (XLA) Texas Hold ‘em is free. After that it will be 800 points. Even if you have no time to play today or tomorrow, you’ll want to get in there and download the title before it costs you 800 Microsoft Points. If you are away from home, call a friend or loved one and have them hook you up on this deal.
A few minutes ago I walked into the room and saw both Xbox 360 lit up with Texas Hold ‘Em. After our kids get the acheivement points for the game, I hope they stop playing this game. I’m not thrilled about our teenagers playing poker, even if it’s for fun. I wish there were parental controls (are there?) for blocking access to certain games after a certain period of time. I’d rather see them mowing down zombies in Dead Rising than playing poker. I know this might seem weird choosing virtual violence over gambling, but I thing one is much less addictive than the other.

And I just had our youngest son clean his TV screen on the far left. Check out the dusty hand prints in the picture above. Do gamers actually get that transfixed while playing that they can’t see a dusty TV screen like that?
Did this post make you go hmm?
