Comcast is getting a minimum of 45-57 dollars from a subscriber. Isn't that crazy? Why can't they just lower the price and offer better package for people who don't need that much of bandwidth at cheaper price.

I really dont understand why customer loyalty is overlooked, too. Charter Communications, the cable ISP in my area, used to throw all sorts of special packages for new subscribers. I think they finally got enough complaints to finally throw in promotional packages for current customers. You just have to actually call them, wait half an hour on the phone line for a person to pick up the phone, and then ask to see if there are any packages that fit your need, ie High-Speed Internet, movie tier package, etc.

If you don't already know, learn it now: COMCAST SUCKS!!!!! They are the worst excuse for a functioning business that I've ever seen. Everyone I know has had a hellish experience from them - especially when it comes to installation. So even if you are lucky enough to get one of their "deals" they're gonna make you pay. With your life. With your time. With wasted appointments that they basically never honor. Their customer reps bite too. I hate all of them. I hate whoever owns Comcast cause they gotta be like really stupid to let it be this bad. Go somewhere else for service - ANY WHERE else....trrrrust me.

I also have been a long term comcast cable and internet subscribe (including two DVR's and additional special interest channels at something like $9 a month). They absolutely refused to offer me the bundle or anything close to it.

I had read somewhere on the bundle offer that after the first year at $99 per month the triple-bundle deal will then be $120 per month. I requested that option from comcast, basically saying ignore the promotion, these new customers after a year will get $120 a month, can't I get that? They again refused completely.

Finally I asked about stopping all services in order to become a "new" customer. In fact they were willing to do this, the only requirement is that I go without their services for at least 4 months.

I ended up being converted from a comcast loyalist to someone who now will actively seek alternative suppliers. This "risk" of alienating current customers doesn't appear to me to be a risk at all, but a fact. I heard, yet again, a radio promo this morning for the Comcast $99 triple offer. It did nothing but remind me how I was treated.

I have been a comcast cable and internet subscriber for years. I now need the VOIP. So, I tried to get the bundle. They absolutely will not offer me the bundle or any compromised deals. I am going to leave comcast completely now in order to find a bundle package that I can afford. Any leads on good bundle packages for phone/internet/tv/dvr?

It's too bad they didn't call you first to offer that deal, FranciscoIV. I'm glad to hear they hooked you up, we had good experiences with DirecTV when we were with them. That NFL Ticket package is the best.

I was getting to feel the same way with DirecTV, been a customer for 12 years. Last Christmas I saw their new DVR promotion for new customers. I called them up and said I not only wanted their new deal, I wanted the rebate up front. I reminded them I already was paying their top tier and how long I was a customer. The sales person had me hold to check with a supervisor, they came back and made the deal. I got 2 more TiVo boxes to add to the 2 I already had and got them for the rebated price...

Needless to say I continue to be a happy DirecTV customer.
