Arbys sandwiches, drinks and I’m Thinking Music Sweepstakes |
Our family stopped by Arby’s a week or so ago and loaded up on some sandwiches and drinks.

On the 44 ounce drinks you can play the I’m Thinking Music Sweepstakes by peeling back a code, visiting arbysmusic.com (warning: turn down your speakers first), registering and entering in the code. As the screenshot shows above, the code we had was good for a free download (100,000 free music downloads are randomly being awarded throughout the promotion). Other prizes include: a 4-day rock cruise for two including a performance by Collective Soul (grand prize), 10 autographed guitars by Collective Soul abd 50 new MP3 player.
I’m a fan of these type promotions, remember the buy a Big Mac get a free song promotion from McDonald’s a couple years ago? I’m surprised we haven’t seen more of these promotions. It’s a good way to promote legal online music downloads and promote terrestrial businesses.
Arby’s promotion ends October 10, 2006.
Did this post make you go hmm?

I participated and got a code. I was instructed to install the Yahoo! bloatware, find a song, click “Buy”, and enter the code. Clicking “Buy” prompts for credit card information and does not provide any way to enter the promotional code. The email and promotion instructions explicitly state that no credit card is required. Yahoo! Music FAILS AT PROMOTIONS and FAILS AT FIRST IMPRESSIONS.
