Auto date and timestamped entries in Notepad with handy .LOG trick |
This tip would be handy for live blogging using Windows Notepad.

Say you are at some event and are adding updates and don’t want to manually type the date/time, just do the following, via LUX.ET.UMBRA:
Open a file with Notepad, and type on the first line:.LOG
Then you save the file and exit.
Now whenever you reopen the notepad file, you’ll have an automatic timestamp. Darkmoon found this at Microsoft. Man, there are some jewels hidden in the bowels. Great tip, thanks Darkmoon!
Did this post make you go hmm?
