		<description>I've had a little play around with the Sun / Java LG3D desktop and had similar thoughts.
Last time I played its video hardware support wasn't very complete so ran pretty slow, although its had a number of releases since then so I've just downloaded to try again.

I'd recommend people at least trying the liveCD version of it - why not, nothing to install?</description>
