Last night while grocery shopping I checked out the Fred Meyer DVD section and was pleasantly surprised to see Tales From The Crypt Seasons 1, 2 and 3 are available on DVD. Amazon shows Tales from the Crypt - The Complete Fourth Season ($27.99, affiliate) will be available July 25, 2006. This series originally appeared on HBO from 1989-1996 and was a great nod to the Horror short story anthology genre, inspired by the classic EC comic book from the 1950’s.

With my admiration for Rod Serling’s Twilight Zone and Night Gallery it was an immediate impule buy. Snatched up and pictured with season one and Madam Mortuus fortune teller. Note the (coincidental?) resemblance between Crypt Keeper and Madam Mortuus?

Bonus geek points (totally worthless value except perhaps for geek pride) for the first person who can comment below and identify the two other items pictured. The one beneath the Tales box and the other above Madam Mortuus.
