Kids will be happy to hear this news that the Xbox Live dashboard updates are now being delivered all over the world. There are a whopping 125 new features. Xbox Live is the Xbox 360. It’s my favorite part of the system. It has faithfully recreated that arcade feel where you could compete with others but using the power of the internet, plus it’s a great micropayment service that Microsoft needs to utilyze for other parts of its business. Some highlights of this update include:

- download queue. No more having to wait for the download to get back to playing. Up to six downloads can be queued.
- no more lost music playing when you leave an arcade game to the arcade
- personal gamer pictures

Will any new arcade games be coming with this update? I heard rumors that maybe pacman was coming, but have seen nothing official. Saw in the Xbox magazine that Root Beer Tapper, Defender, Paperboy and a few other titles were coming as well. In the last two months only Uno has been released.

Depending on where you are in the world, the Xbox Live Dashboard may already be available. The official release time here PST is 2am on 6/6/6 with up to a four hour delay. For those who receive at precisely 6am on 6/6/6 that is the mark of true evil!
