BlogExplosion sells for more than $100,000 asking price |
Ker-ching.
It’s official now, BlogExplosion has been sold to Stephen Sartain and a group of private investors this weekend, per an email just received as a BE customer with the subject line: “Special Release — BlogExplosion has been sold!!!” Thomas and Jeff explain:
We had competitive bids all through last week and finally was decided on Saturday afternoon. Stephen has bought two sites from us previously with great results and has extensive experience running sites like BlogExplosion. Our final closing price was in the six figures and well beyond our minimum bid of $100,000.
Jeremy Wright who helped broker the sale only needs a seven or eight figure deal to become the Scott Boras of blog-related properties. Wright was also credited with brokering the sale of fellow B5 mate Duncan Reilly’s Blog Herald.
What’s next for Jeremy Boras? When will he pull that knockout Alex Rodrigruez deal? Seriously, congratulations to all parties.
Did this post make you go hmm?

Good times. Long process, but the bid’s a fair one. To be honest, I think the site is worth more, but all parties involved are more than satisfied, and the community at BE has elected to really step up and help the new owners, which is just fantastic to see.
