Burger ‘King’ to star in Xbox games for $3.99 + meal but should do Microsoft Points deal |
Burger King is rolling the dice that a non-lame Xbox game can be made using their King character in a deal reportedly inked with Microsoft:
In addition to the action game, the King and other unspecified Burger King characters will find themselves in a fighting game that’s a little “Street Fighter” and a bit of “Mortal Kombat,” and a racing game that borrows elements from “Need for Speed” and “Forza Motorsport.”
So not just one chance to create a lemon, but three. Let’s hope at least one of these is decent.
I’d rather see them do a giveaway with Microsoft Points instead of make three substandard games. If I’m wrong and the games they crank rock, I’ll give them major props, but, well, we’ll see. But just Imagine a deal like iTunes did with McDonald’s but with Microsoft Points? You get so many points with each large fry, drink, etc, this way Xbox live players could spend the points on their game of choice. That would be cool. Maybe Microsoft will do that with somebody else …?
Breaking down the first 1600 Microsoft points
This is how we spent our first 1600 Microsoft Points ($19.99):
800 Jewel Quest
400 Geometry Wars
400 Robotron 2084
Looking forward to spending more points. Our middle son — the gamer — is still putting Oblivion through the paces. Let me try adding our Xbox 360 gamer tag to this post and see how it looks:
Cool, I should put that at the top of the Xbox 360 category page. [making note]
