No tax ‘refund’ again, you? |
Since going into business for ourselves over 10 years ago we haven’t overpaid and thus haven’t received a tax ‘refund.’

Must admit that’s one thing about being an employee and having too much taken out of my check that I miss those refunds as opposed to paying the account to tell us how much we need to pay. With quarterly payments properly allocated it might not be that much, but it’s still a bummer having to pay every year as opposed to getting back the overpayment. I suppose we could pay more than what the accountant says quarterly and get something back, but we’d rather have the money than get some overpayment.
And thus in a few minutes we’ll be heading out to mail out the taxes for year ending 2005. How about you? How many of you got a ‘refund’ this year? And if you did, what are you planning on doing with it? Microsoft Points (pictured)? Buy a UMPC? New cell phone? Xbox 360?
Did this post make you go hmm?

Same here. Self-employed, the majority of the bill is the SE tax. Hit it pretty close this year, though. The check is not breaking the bank.
