After last night, they're on a pace to score 2430 runs for the season. Not like they could actually do that, but they certainly made a good start at 1000. You're right about pitching. Gone are the days of Clemens and Pettite. They still have the Big Unit and Mussina, but two out of five won't get them into the post-season -- unless the bats can stay hot and they can just slug their way in.

Some are saying the Yankees may score 1000 runs this season. They certainly have the bats, but do they have the pitching? Me thinks there's going to be a lot of football scores in New York.

I really thought we had a chance, especially after Colon buckled and we pulled within one run. I hope this isn't the tone for the season. On the flip side, we really enjoyed watching the Yankees trounce the A's 15-2. Actually, after a while it got pretty boring.

Well, the first inning wasn't exactly stellar. Moyer gave up a 2 run homer and then Colon came in and struck out the side. Ouch! Good thing it's a nine inning game.

C'mon, TDavid, 85 is barely over .500. I'm hoping for at least 90. Then again, what I saw in spring training doesn't give me much hope. I'll be taking off early today to watch the home opener, though. Moyer vs Colon, should be 0-0 after 7.
