I like the pretty purple ponies. They are fun. And why not! It's April 1st. Unleash your inner geek, and play with your (least) favorite toy!

"boring and dumb" and "overvalued" I can take, but "1 1/2 inches long"? That's hitting below the belt. And besides, I just got out of the pool.

I think yours is rigged: http://www.googlism.com/index.htm?ism=tdavid&type=1

Yeah, I saw a few days ago before Scoble posted it being passed around on a Microsoft mailing list I'm on and thought about linking that. There was a 404 error on the spoof link that I left as a comment on Scoble's blog, not sure if they fixed that yet.

There is a non-spoof site Googlism that grabs your name and bits of text pulled from various SE that's not a spoof but actually kind of interesting. Check out this:

You've probably seen it (Scoble featured it yesterday), but this one is pretty good: http://www.mymsnsearch.com/index.aspx
It works particularly well with non- to semi-geeks. In fact, it could almost function as a geekometer: measure the number of seconds it takes for the victim to recognize it as a spoof. geekness = 1.0 / nseconds
