Swap ink online with Sketch Swap

Tablet PC — by TDavid @ 9:54 pm PST

Sketch Swap allows you to draw something like the following with a Tablet PC, graphic pad or just the mouse (recommended for mouseachists only):

My first Sketch Swap drawing

And then have returned from somebody else a drawing like this where you can actually watch it being drawn:

Sketch Swap arrives courtesy of Phillip Lenssen who did Forty Faces and Dominik Schmid. Simplistic, registration free, Adsense monetized, and random fun for a few minutes. Too bad there are no ways to share drawings with others (hint, hint). The concept of ink swapping via the web is still in its infancy in any practical application, but it’s encouraging to see online apps like this emerge. The part where we can watch things being drawn reminded me of imagination cubed.
