Gawker launches Sillicon Valley gossip rag: Valleywag |
Former Blogebrity editor Nick Douglas has scored a new gig with Gawker Publishing following the gossip in Sillicon Valley. Valleywag is off and running with 24,000+ unique hits logged via Site Meter on its first day.
By my unofficial count this is #13 for their network. Gawker doesn’t seem to be on a marathon pace to crank out a ton of blogs for their network unlike AOL-owned WeblogsInc (WIN) which last time I checked claimed to have in excess of 75 blogs and making plans to publish more.
As for Valleywag content so far? How National Enquirer the bit about Marissa Mayer and Larry Page being a couple for awhile — but not any more. Or how about choosing the proper order of which three companies will flip first and winning an undisclosed “prize.”
Valleywag sounds like too much fun not to subscribe. Hey, nothing wrong with some entertainment blended in with all that serious tech talk.
Did this post make you go hmm?
