Google has a long tradition of updating their logo for various holidays and now they are putting holiday-themed decoration in the background of Adsense ads. Shannon Bauman from the Adsense Team writes:

AdSense publishers can opt in to the designs by going to their account settings. And in the new year, we’ll be rolling out more designs for holidays and events around the world.
