Can these electrical cords be salvaged or are they toast?

You can put new plugs on them if you’re a bit handy and have some decent tools. I’d cut each of them back about 3 inches to get away from the cause of the incident.
That damage, however, looks like there was a short someplace, so keep that in mind…

Thanks Eric. I checked the 50ft extension cord (orange) and haven’t decided what to do with the heater cord (black). It actually looks pretty good compared to the fried extension cord.
