Your favorite clear soda is …?

health and lifestyle, customer adventures — by TDavid @ 6:31 pm PST

My favorite clear soda is 7-up. Sprite is OK, but like all Coca-Cola products, reminds me of the science experiment where pennies were placed in coke and dissolved over time.

my least favorite citrus soda: Albertson's Duo

My least favorite are some of the poor man’s lemon lime sodas like Albertson’s Duo. We’ll spring for some of the store brand sodas once in awhile and some aren’t too bad.

What’s your favorite clear soda? Least favorite? Water is my beverage of choice, but we’re strictly talking light soda here.

  2. 7-up doesn’t taste as tingy (sharp?) to me as Sprite. Maybe that lack of power is what is off for you, Monkey, yes/no?

  3. Do the Hansens sodas count (even though they’re flavored but clear)? I have pretty much sworn off of sodas since college, but 1-2x a year I sneak a Hansens :)

  4. Yeah, if it’s clear it counts. Jones sodas are good too, forgot about those. I like Bubble Gum soda from Jones.

  5. I like Sierra Mist. On occasion I like a Sams Choice version of it as well.
I never liked slice. It seems to me that a lot of clear or white sodas leave some kind of leftover film or residue.

  7. I like Sprite, but I still mourn the loss of Pepsi Clear that one was good.

  8. yah TDavid now that i think about it more i think that may be what it is. 7-up kind of tastes flat to me.

  9. I drink sprite myself. I used to be a big 7up drinker, but then they changed there fomula a few years back for a “more lemon taste”. But to me it tasted like Lemon Pledge. Now it does taste a little weeker. I’ll just stick to sprite, and the occasional 12er of Shasta Lemom/lime. :)

  10. Man, I’m the only one here who prefers 7-up over Sprite? No Duo fans? LOL, I didn’t expect any really.
