PSP Namco Museum Battle Collection: Pac-Man Arrangement

gaming — by TDavid @ 7:45 am PST

Ok, finally took the plunge and upgraded the PSP to version 2.50 (I see v2.60 is now available) with the included browser. Now I could begin playing Namco Museum Battle Collection. Here’s a screenshot of Pac-Man Arrangement which I believe the Arrangement version is exclusive to the PSP:

It is a bit difficult controlling Pac-Man without a joystick or even analog stick. Needless to say I did score better than zero on my first play. Other Arrangement titles include: Galaga Arrangement, Rally-X and Dig Dug.

As for worrying about not being able to do the homebrew stuff? Been watching this scene awhile and it seems to me that the homebrew folks are breaking the Sony upgrades not long after they are made available so it’s really not as big a deal to hold out. Also, despite thinking a lot of this homebrew stuff was really cool, I never actually took the time to download/try any of it. Owning a PSP and watching it collect dust didn’t seem very fun to me, so upgrade away, I did.

I’m still mad at Sony BMG over that rootkit mess but fortunately that is a different division of the company. Hopefully one with more purer intentions. Hopefully.

Did this post make you go hmm?
