Quote: "Steroids (corticosteroids) have been shown to reduce inflammation by inhibiting the production of substances that cause inflammation, the epidural steroid injection can be highly effective because it delivers the medication directly to the site of inflammation."

I'm still learning more about pain related to these injections but from what I've read so far it seems like they use something like novocaine from the dentist.</description>
