Nintendo DS WiFi USB dongle in Europe |
Finally Nintendo is showing some interest in the internet. Ok, in a month, it is a start. In Europe.
Nintendo has unveiled the new Wi-Fi USB connecton that will allow DS owners who don’t have a wireless router to take their handheld online. Stick it in your PC and it’ll open a window to establish a link between your DS, your computer and your Internet connection.
Mac and Linux users without a wireless router (if you have a WiFi signal you don’t need a PC) will be left out on this one, at least on launch, as this dongle will only work with Windows PCs. It’s being released in Europe in November but after searching through several different articles I didn’t see a release date for the US. The price will be roughly $30 USD for the dongle and Nintendo’s internet service will be free, although third party developers can charge for their games that support play via the internet.
Anybody know when this will be available in the US?
Did this post make you go hmm?
