The following 31 step Photoshop tutorial from Graphic Mentor shows how create a software box. A similar technique could be used to design a book cover. Seems like handy information for the design/graphics impaired like me, although many of the Digg faithful where I first found this (on the front page) are bashing it, saying there are easier ways.

Anybody have a link to a step-by-step tutorial to do something like this using photoshop an easier way?
