[...] I’ve also been hard on Dear Jason in the past too, but I genuinely give him and the Engadget crew big props and wish them great success on this. Calacanis also said that last month’s bandwidth bill was $12,000. I’m sure, however, that advertising has that well covered. [...]

Not sure what the problem is with the format... the readers of my blog seems to really enjoy it.

The name is sort of joke... the Ask Engadget and Ask Autoblog format has done really well. The readers love it, so I figured why not answer the questions that people ask me in a public forum.

I mean, you understand that the topic of my personal blog is Weblogs, Inc. right? People are not going to my blog to read about anything but Weblogs, Inc! The 5-10,000 folks who come every really enjoy disucssing our business and what we're learning from running it, and I enjoy sharing our progress with them.

Honestly, I'm loving the Ask Jason feature... I'm getting great questions from folks, and "talking it out" with the readers is really helping us think about the business.

So, at the end you nailed "it's genuinely meant to be helpful" -- exactly.

Since it seems like everyone is doing it, and I feel inspired to do a "Dear Abby" type column anyways, the LUX staff has decided to start: ASK LUX! sessions. Every Friday, the mailbag will be opened and we shall...
