Minimum system requirements: XP Home or Pro with SP2, 1.0 GHz processor, 256 MB RAM, 200 MB HD space, super VGA (800×600) resolution.

First download Microsoft Max must install WinFX Runtime COmponents 3.0 Beta 2 which might require reboot. It says this in red text during install too.

You’ll need to enter in your .NET Passport information as a login and then answer a validation email to prove who you are (see below).

The main Max UI is displayed below. It’s painless creating a new list of pictures. Took me all 0f a few minutes to create a list, add pictures, choose a view and (optionally) share with others.
