The 800 pound gorilla is stepping into the ring …

It was just a matter of time before Google jumped into the blog search space, and the time is now (ok, well maybe a few hours from when you actually read this, but very soon, keep refreshing!):

Ok, Google Blog Search is still just 404 as of this writing, so no screenshots quite yet, but a Google Blog Search FAQ exists (screenshot of that displayed) and John Battelle says the embargo was up at 9pm PST:

I spoke with Google about this, more soon, wanted to get this up in a timely manner…(too timely…as the service has yet to be pushed live….)

Tomorrow when Google Blog Search is live (I’m assuming it will be tomorrow as I’m writing this at just before midnight PST), and when there’s time I will definitely be taking this for a detailed spin. Whew! A very busy Tuesday today.
