Dr. Lee set free by courts for Google, well, sort of |
The timing of this court decision is interesting — the day the Microsoft PDC begins — and a Washington court has ruled in favor of Google in the Dr. Lee employee dispute case, as posted by Nicole Wong on the Google Blog today:
A Washington state judge ruled today that Dr. Kai-Fu Lee can immediately begin working for Google. (There’s a profile of Dr. Lee in today’s San Francisco Chronicle.) We’re thrilled, and he’s excited to get right to work on several big things, including recruiting, building our Chinese R&D center, and related government relations.
This type of post showing up on the Google blog surprised me a bit and apparently I’m not alone. InsideBlogging asks a good question: “Since when does Google comment publicly on controvertial news items?”
Meanwhile, Google stock is on the move again while eBay has been losing since the Skype buyout news. Apparently investors aren’t getting this big purchase either?
Did this post make you go hmm?

Interesting how long it took “news” sources to catch up to this story? href=”http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/05_39/b3952001.htm”>businessweek.com article dated 09/19. Maybe they are reading your blog??

I know that some major publications do, Lestat. I’ve been contacted by reporters and editors before on some of the stories posted here.
