New widescreen Gateway Tablet PC weighs 6.9 pounds! |
Keep in mind this is coming from somebody who thinks the ultimate tablet is a thin, light slate, but the new widescreen Gateway CX200 Tablet PC ($1,905 USD, review: PC Mag) might be good for watching movies, but it’s not something I’d want to carry around weighing in at 6.9 pounds.
Engadget reader, Andy, says it better than I:
6.9 pounds for a Tablet PC? I thought tablets were supposed to be lightweight, allowing users to carry with one hand and write with the other?
Scoble doesn’t think “Tablet PC purists” will be turned on by it, but unless people are looking for a workout carrying it around, I can’t see the appeal. If you want to watch video, then why not just go for a few more pounds and carry around a full sized LCD? Plug that into a slate and you are ready to rock. Cool idea for a decent wide screen, but too heavy for a Tablet user.

Hello my friend, i just need to know what is the difference between the gateways models: CX200X
S-7200Cb
M280Eb
because if you customize them you get to the same model and specs but with a significant difference in price: 1800, 1700, 1500, approx.
Just send all the info you have because im planning to buy the same computer you ordered. Thank yo very much for your help and see you next time. Bye
