Apple claims 4.7 percent of US market share |
In rare back-to-back hmm postings about Apple, this one deals with news that Apple now has 4.7 of US market share and continues to be on the move, leveraging the success of the iPod/iTunes to their hardware, via MacWorld UK:
Apple’s shipments grew 37 per cent year-on-year quarter, against a worldwide industry growth of 16.6 per cent, according to IDC. Gartner assesses industry growth at 14.8 per cent. The figures represent Apple’s US market share to have reached 4.5 per cent, up from 3.7 per cent at the same time last year.
More posting tonight regarding the iTunes enabled Motorola ROKR cell phone and Madonna opening her catalogue exclusively via ITMS for those who are also in the Mac Mode.
Have to admit once I get in front of the Mac, I’m somewhat overtaken by that whole scene. The Mac Force is strong!
