Playing Nintendogs for the first time - naming your dog

The game begins by asking you to knock on the door to get inside the kennel. Next, you can look at the dogs or buy one. I chose to buy a Daschund for $550.00. You start with $1,000 to spend. I named my new puppy after our favorite numbers game: Keno! You click a button to “begin audio input” and say the puppy’s new name several times so he can learn it and then you type it in to confirm the name.

Next comes teaching your new puppy a trick: how to sit down. You call his name and then program to sit down by gently rubbing his head and moving the stylus down. Then you say: “sit down” or some other voice command to train the puppy. When done you save the command.

When you click “save” from the Home menu it will save and then shut down the game. I restarted the game and just Keno sit next me (inside the game of course) to see what would happen over time.

I went over to Nintendogs.com to check out how to get adoption papers for Keno. Turns out that I needed to enter in the PIN and register the game via Nintendo.com (this is on the back of the “subscribe to Nintendo Power” insert inside the game), which I did and then clicked on the Nintendogs game and there was a Flash adoption papers that I could download (for PC or Mac).

Tip: One thing I noticed about taking my puppy for walks is that you can run over “?” and your dog will find prizes — cool free stuff. So make sure when planning your path — which players draw across the bottom screen with the stylus — to venture over “?”

I LOVE NINTENDOGS!!! I have a husky called Toby. If your dog doesn’t respond to its name don’t worry just tap the screen that always gets its attension.When you teach it new tricks you have to do it again and again until the game tells you he’s learnt it. Your nintendog will do a poop (trust me) but not that often, when this happens touch the poo and it will go in a doggy bag. Hope that helps.

hi HANNAH i have that one i bought it in Argos im not sure if you ahve that were you are im in london england . it is great i have a shitzue called angel, an golden lab called rose and when you play for a while you can unlock dogs and i unlocked an cavalier its called princess and it learned its name after 3 times that is super smart ad it learns tricks when i just say it 4 times wicked or what that is of the hook you get me.

to get adoption papers u have to click on the download clickable on the nintendogs website(www.nintendogs.com). it will show up on your desktop. click on it. if it doesnt show up a winzip popup will come up. dont X it out!!!!!! click on the evaluation version if u dont want to buy it for $29. click on the thing 3xs and you wlii probably know wat to do from there

did you know that you can unlock dalmations and jack russells???
You need to find the fireman hat for the dalmation
and the jack russell book for the jack russel.

i only got nintendogs cuz i won it off the kerrianne kennelly show.
and have had it for 6 months.
i have a pink DS and i have chihuahua and friends

you unlock new breeds of dogs by earning trainer points. to see how many trainer points you have you touch go out and there will be a object sayin info. touch that and touch trainer info. and there r your trainer points. you will need to earn a certain amount of trainer points to unlock a breed. you can also find fireman hats and jack russell books to find dalmations and jack russells.

Hi Chloe here. When i go nintendogs i didn’t know squat about it. I went along with it and got used to whati had to do. I have a Daschund called Lucky. Well here is a little tip for Daschunds. When you throw a frisbee in the park they are slow but if you take them to the park with NO dogs then you can train them and they get faster.

i have unlocked every dog on nintendogs including dalmation,jack russel terrier.i want there to be a kelpie on nintendogs cause i love kelpies they are so cute and border collies.and these are the points and clues i can give you:german sheperd is 30,000 owner points>miniture pinsher is 35,000 so enjoy having your nintendog from tayla

sorry dogs cant breed because they dont grow older but you dont need to be upset. I think that Shih tzu are really cute they look like they have little eyelashes! If you want a good competitions dog you have to train them!

Yes if you have the dachshund edition you can unlock breeds like chiuwaua’s it takes 50,000 trainer points for one. The more trainer points the more you unlock dogs. To earn trainer points faster go on lotsa walks and enter your dogs in competitions. Hi Chloe here. I have a shih tzu called Olly. He is so cute.He has won all the disc competitions. My fave pups on nintendogz are:

1st - Golden retrievers (great companions)

2nd - -shetlands (also great companions)

3rd - Huskies (they look so cute)

Also little dogs are good in comps cuz they are really fast
especially shih-tzu’s and corgi’s and golden cuz they are
fast 4 some reason

Hi -X-HANNAH-X-

Yes you can get other breeds. You have to earn trainer points to unlock them though. To see how many trainer points you get touch go out and trainer info and it should show you how many you have. Or you can do bark mode with someone else and if they have a different breed of dog that you don’t have on your game you can unlock them.

the best way to teach your dogs tricks is to only have 1 in your house so it dosent run of when you try to teach him/her new tricks so u may have all of its attention

I got the nintendogs “Dachshund & friends” game on February 4,2006. I have now the “Desktop” house. Bandit my Siberian husky has won me $21,020.23 so far, Diamond my toy poodle has won me $2,045.24. I would give you more dogs but I don’t have anymore. I am saving up for the “Lab & friends”, “Chihuahua & friends”, and the “Best friends” editions. I named my Siberian husky, Bandit because he looks like he has a skee mask on. I want to unlock the chihuahua breed but that will take awhile. I have about 9 breeds unlocked so far.

Oh yeah, and if u want trainer points, brush ur dog, and just leave the brush on him fr ages and u get 1 trainer point fr every minute the brush is on him. Just leave the charger on the ds and leave the brush on the dog overnite. Thanx Hannah!!!

1. all caps are known as SHOUTING on the web.
2. It\’s harder to read. I value my eyes and other folks eyes, and hope you do too.
3. It takes up to 40% more space to say the same thing in all caps.

you have to pet the dog lots and lots until he/she has calmed down. Then you teach him/ her its name and repeat it until he/she gets it.

And today, I get to go see my REAL puppy, Storm. He is still at the breeders and we go see him every weekend! I get him in a week! He is soooooo cute! I leave in 3 minutes.

He is a purebred German Shepherd. Though I don’t care if he is a mix, he has very good bloodlines. I take any dogs! He will be my first dog. His full name is Rocknoll’s Ghostorm. Rocknoll is the breeder kennel name.

GUESS WHAT I FOUND!!!!

THE FIREMANS HAT :)!!!!

I’ll tell ya’s how I gotz it.

Well I made my pups at home all wear lucky collars!!!

Then I put the clover clock on!!!

And I took my dog for a walk and she had full stanima!!!

Then I went to every place on the map!!!

I found it not on a question mark though!!!

And it was a red present when it is meant to be blue!!!

Sorry if this doesn’t work but it worked 4 me so it is worth givin it a try!!!

Yeah, Nintendogs is wicked. On Dalmation and Friends there is : Dalmation, Golden Retreiver, German Shepherd, Boxer, Beagle + Yorkie!!! You can unlcok the other dogs, though. Hope that helps

Yeah and alex, an easier way to get a dalmation is to wait at home for a while then wait for a fire truck siren to go past and (make sure u have at least a lucky collar or a clover clock) then go for a walk. It might work so don’t get too excited yet.

I think golden retrievers are the best in dachshunds and friends cuz:

They are sensible - obedient

They are Great companions

CUTE - ADORABLE

Fast at agility

Good at fetching frisbees

And

Nintendogs Rule I had 8 dogs but then i deleted everything because I needed a break so now I\’m asking do any of you people know how long it takes to earn nintendogs,Dalmation or is dalmation friends out on sale yet do any of you know?Oh and chongo money cheats, to earn money cheats just go for a competition and if you win let your game save but turn the game off and take your dog out for another competition (obedience trials earn the most money)you can do this repedidly!

I just adore Nintendogs, My dog Oscar, has a great personality, and also is a very very fast learner… Or maybe had a good teacher My dog can soooo dance! and breakdance. Now I taught Oscar all the tricks I was soposed to do. Ohh la la.

I also got all of the dogs in the kennel, a Jack Russel and dalmation and yorkshire terrier and shiba inys and more! its so awesome! ther games I play on as well. But I play on Nintendogs more. Yipppeeeeeeee!!! i’ve got a labrador. now all i need thats not in my kennal is a jack russell terrier. does a nyone know how to get a jack russell terrier easier then other tricks. and if u want a points cheat, all u have to do is go to da brush and leave the brush in the centre of the dog, put ur nintendo on charge and wait for a long time (better do it before going to bed). when someone told me about it i thought it wouldnt work, but it did! its a good way to earn points without doing anything.

If you through the Shuttle Model, it flies very sraight.
If you play the entire Naptime Record, then play the Surprise Record, it’s funny.
Huskies look good in Pirate Hats and Sport Sunglasses.

Hey its Mystery,
I have had my Nintendogs game for about 3 weeks now and I have eight dogs.
I have a Shetland Sheepdog called Lucy, a Goldie called Muffin, a German Shepard called Lilly, a Siberian Husky called Daisy, a miniature pinscher called Lulu, a boxer called Jesse (pretty cute really), a Yorkie called Tickles and another yorkie called Poppy.
I play Nintendogs a million times a day.
I love to do the agility trials most of my dogs have completed the championship level.
if you do lots of agility trials, obedience and disc comps then you can save up a lot of money.
I have $14,691.24 from agility alone, also if you want to get new breeds in your kennel the comps are a good way of getting lots of trainer points and the more you get the more dog breeds you receive, I have 10438 trainer points and have received the miniature pinscher, husky, Goldie and toy poodle.
sorry its so long but I haven’t written on here for a long time so I have a lot to say.

Hi people. I am only warning people out there who want to get a Siberian husky. I had one on my Nintendogs game and she was really smart. Her name was Daisy. But she was… well, I hate to say it but no matter how hard I tried I just couldn’t find myself to lover her because well she just didn’t look real. But anyway. You can get one if you want. Hi everyone!!! Just to give you a little advice on how to get trainer points faster. I read on a website that when you hold a brush on your dog without toucing it for a real life minute, then you earna trainer point. I hope that helped you.
By the way. I read a bunch of stuff on how to get a dalmatian but I am still confused on EXACTLY how you do it. And when i do get a dalmatian, I would like to know what to name it. Oh, and sorry one last question. How long did it take for you to get a dalmatian???

If you don’t have three lucky collars and have three dogs? Can you put two dogs in the dog hotel and then put your ONE lucky collar on your one dog that is left and then put the clover clock on your screen. My dog has full stamina by the way.

Hi people sorry that I have been chatting so much today but I have soooo many questions!!!
Ok, I looked on this website and it said that if you leave the screen on the home screen for a while, your puppy will leave and when you tap on the whistle button it will come back with a present. But the thing is, I tried it and my beagle won’t leave to get the present. Probably because she’s just so tired. I guess I did try a little late. Poor girl.

Because you could just go into barkmode with that person who owns it, that way the person, if they are walking a dalmation, will end up, because you don’t have that dog yet, will become available in the kennel

Hi again. Sweet heart you are so lucky!!! The dalmatian and friends version is available in the exchange here in Oak Harbor, WA, but it’s a limited edition and there is NO WAY that I will be able to save up for it when I only get 2 dollars a week for my allowance, and usually none.
so if anyone has really good advice for finding the dalmatian please let me know.
Oh, by the way. Does anyone know how to do the wave trick? It’s really cute! While your dog is sitting, you have to wiggle his ears a little (may be hard for those who have dogs with non-floppy ears) and then they’ll wave! Usually, if they understand you, it’ll only take about 3 or 4 times to teach the trick.
And I found this really weird alien toy on my really long walks with my beagle. I went to the secondhand shop to see what it is worth and guess what??? It is worth 600 dollars!!! I don’t know if I should sell it or not. It’s not like I really need the money since I have about 17, 500 dollars. But I do want to get the beach house or the outer space house. Sorry I am talking too much, I just want to inform people

when i first got it it was Christmas! I had been begging for it 4 6 months! i got a cute little shiba inu and named it kookie! on 1-08-06 it was my lil’ sis’s b-day so i let her play it and when i got it back kookie was gone and my lil’ sis got rid of it! i was so mad at her and i haven’t let her play it since! oh ya and u can have your dog have puppies bcuz my friend’s dog had them! all u do is when u first get the game get the same kind of dog when you get them and don’t get any other kind of breed for as long as u have the game! u have to take care of your dogs everyday! then when it has puppies you have to go on your game everyday and you CAN’T MISS ONE DAY! then when your on a walk and the puppies are older you can get offers to sell them 4 $! and your dogs can get bigger just let them play with the rubber mushroom everyday! and to make them faster let them play with the soccer ball everyday! and when you’re on a walk and you see a book tug on your dogs leash and it will say you found the jack russel book! i hope i gave you some helpful hints on nintendogs!

Here is the dogs I have: a pembroke welsh corgi named lucky, a golden retriever named buddy, a chihuahua named chowder, a german sheperd named aaron, a king calavier charles spaniel named dusty, a shiba inu named mcquizy, and a huskie named rose. i know that’s a mouthful. they are all hard to handle. oh and when you get the lucky collar and the clover clock put the clover clock on and put the lucky collar on the dog that you want to take for a walk and you will get a lot of cool stuff. believe me i tried it!

Hi, everyone keeps asking “Can my dogs have puppys?” The answer is no your dogs cannot have pups no matter what, I no this is definite as I have enquired to several Nintendogs sites and addresses, I know it really sucks but hey never mind!!

Hi Tammi if I were you, I would get either the chihuahua and friends or the daschund and friends. Daschund and friends lets you start off with a lot of cute puppies!
Anyway, sorry i have not been on lately I was busy with homework and birthday parties.

Yes you can find promise rings & gold bars and they are worth $1,000 & $2,000 if you sell them…cool aye.

There are tonnes of tricks you can teach your puppies, there are the basics:

sit, shake, lie down, roll over, jump, beg etc (beg can be a bit hard to teach)

And theres the More com
