Google Sitemaps now supports mobile website URLs |
Good news for those with mobile-friendly sized websites. Particularly now that the Sony PSP has an official browser, via Google Blog:
Starting today, webmasters of sites of all sizes can submit their mobile website URLs to Google Mobile Sitemaps, an extension of the Google Sitemaps program. And just as cool, mobile phone users can search through these, and other mobile-friendly websites, using Google Search for the Mobile Web.
At one time there was a portable version of this site and that got lost in the switch to the different blog script. Going to have to look at bringing that back as I think the number of portable device users continues to rise. Ever tried reading a blog on a mobile phone? Most of them suck. Better to read through the RSS feed, but then that doesn’t work too well if the publisher doesn’t provide the full text feed.
Did this post make you go hmm?
