Fifth guest hosting appearance on Webtalk Radio |
On schedule, Rob Greenlee posted the fifth WebTalk Radio that he and his wife Dana kindly invited me back to help guest host (I keep wondering when my invitation will run out because I’m always running their shows later than they are supposed to be in length).
Unfortunately there were no product or software launches on this most recent show to talk about, so we broke our tradition of my appearances on launch days, though ironically around the time Rob posted the show Google Talk’s launch was on the horizon. I called Rob today and said I should have been on one week later because of all the Google Talk IM/VoIP stuff.
Prior guest co-host appearances:
#1 3/29/2005 - the Sony PSP was released (my first guest host appearance),
#2 4/30/2005 - for the Mac OS X Tiger release
#3 5/21/2005 - Star Wars III Revenge of the Sith complete with the Darth mask
#4 6/12/2005 - Microsoft launches tabbed browsing via new MSN Toolbar
#5 8/21/2005 - nothing new was launched for discussion on the show but we did talk about these cool meteors that travel completely through the earth.
Update 10/23/2006 1:02pm PST: Most of the above links are broken. Since writing this original post I’ve had two more appearances as a guest co-host on Webtalk Radio show. I’ll return to this post and update the links when new archive links are made available at their website.
#6: October 2005 -
#7: October 14, 2006 - Sirius Stiletto
Each show is available as an MP3 download or Windows stream. Get ‘em while you can! The last show is my weakest appearance, IMO. Others have told me the Star Wars show was the funniest, if you like humor with your tech.
These shows have been a lot of fun to record and I’ve been a long time fan of WebTalk Radio that has been running since 1999 at times both online and via traditional terrestrial radio. Thank you Rob and Dana for the good times and invites!
