My $800+ Mac radio |
Since returning from vacation, and really since buying the RadioShark listening to talk radio via the eMac has been its primary function. I know, it’s a waste, but it seems at the end of the day or the weekend — at least this summer — I haven’t had much time for the Mac.
Unfortunately, I know I’ve got to be missing some good Mac stuff (links, software, more). I have probably spent less than five minutes on my Mac in the last two months. Tomorrow we’re going to be running a booth for our business at a local fair, so I won’t be doing much Mac surfing tomorrow either. Weekends historically have been my best time to explore things in the Mac world.
Perhaps there are some readers that use Macs that can catch me up with all the good stuff I’ve missed? I did see a Tiger security update and that was installed. I haven’t even updated my Mac blog or read the MacWorld magazines I subscribe to. Yowsa, talk about being behind the times. I run a Mac segment every week on the radio show I host and today’s update will be: “I don’t know what’s new in the Mac world, let’s figure it out together!” Weak, but honest.

[…] The real test was pointing to a radio station playing music I didn’t know, so I fired up the Radioshark and used seek to find a station playing music I was unfamiliar with: 100.7 The Wolf. Not being a country fan in the slightest and not listening to commercial radio this made me extra cranky. I mean, it’s like one song and commercials, then more commericals, then news, then one song, then … no wonder nobody listens to commercial radio any more. […]
