[...] Traffic from those main search results. This morning Google has sent this blog some 90% of all search engine result traffic. 90%! Heck, being on the Feedster Top 500 list has sent more traffic today than Yahoo and MSN combined! This is pretty authoratative proof of which search engine is best for my business. It echoes what I find when I conduct many, many searches. Google keeps track of the searches I’m making and it’s something like two dozen a day on average. [...]

Scott - Blogcompare stats are totally open and available to anybody. No disclosure needed ;) They are based off the stats via the Technorati API, see: http://www.makeyougohmm.com/category/blogcompare/

Also the Alexa ratings for each site (save the domains that do multi-blog hosting) are available for sorting. Pretty much anybody who will open up an API I'll be willing to put in there for comparison. Check it out as I think you'll find it pretty useful for comparing blogs. Users that aren't in the database can add their blogs and they will be updated every week or two, depending on when the source data is updated.

At least we now have a second list!

When we have five lists like this we will really start to understand the number of links people really have and the impact of those links.

I'm just happy that we can now see 101 to 500..... and that we have another look at the world.

Competition is going to be great for Feedster/Technorati/PubSub/Icerocket... if only Google and Yahoo would join the party!
