Physicist working on time travel hypothesis |
Time travel by bending light? Physicist Ronald Mallett thinks this might just be possible and is working to prove his hypothesis. This made me think a bit of the old TV show Quantum Leap and tons of other time travel stories over the years. When — and I don’t think it will be “if” — just what will be the ramifications of such a powerful device? Mallett has an answer to the what if scenario, in response to being able to visit his father who died at 33 from a heart attack.
No, he says, it isn’t possible. You couldn’t go back in time to a time before a time machine was built. “So I don’t think we can go back any further than when we have a time machine that works.”

In 1975, Professor Carrol Alley tested Einstein’s theory by using two synchronized atomic clocks–one on an airplane and the other on the ground. At the end of the flight, the one on the plane was behind the one on the ground. Time had slowed for the clock on the plane–it had traveled forward in time.

Funny you should mention Quantum Leap. In an instant I thought about the episode, The Leap Home. Dr. Sam Beckett ruled!!

Well umm according to the string theory you COULD go back to before the time machine was invented… Just have to figure out how to access the string. Of course if we ever figure out Warp technology then we just need to slingshot around the sun at high warp….

i think if we are do something with universal electromagnetic field which contain data of our past, i i mean to say,get any please on the earth at any longitude and latitude like XYZ:ABC we are interrupt the electromagnetic field on this point of the earth, then we can get the data which is saved into them. and we do this work with the help of very spacial gadget which have capability of reading data of electromagnetic field .so help of this gadget we are see the past atonly point XYZ:ABC of the earth,
and i am sour about this theory.we can’t do time travel that’s right,but we can saw the past at any point of the earth.
because the hard disk is a electromagnetic device and Bermuda triangle is an example of power of magnetic field.
