Unpacking Madden 2006 Xbox |

Went to workout this morning and then immediately afterwards headed to Wal-Mart to buy Madden 2006 for the Xbox. I was a bit surprised there was no Collector’s Edition for ten bones more like there was last year. At least there wasn’t one at Wal-Mart. If they didn’t make one then this is a lost marketing opportunity not to mention a great chance to include prior Madden games.

We cut open the packaging and examined the innards. Just the CD and a manual inside.

The manual is a scant 16 pages — 4 of which are notices and warnings, not instructions — and boasts the words “Exclusive NFL License” on the front. The manual isn’t designed to do anything but provide a very brief overview of the various modes and to get players into the game. I noticed that new NFL Superstar mode looks kind of interesting and has a My Web element which the manual describes as: “Access the Internet and use your web site to monitor your progression and persona.” Sounds interesting! Will check that out later.
Time to pop the CD in the Xbox and take it for a test drive. Load time wasn’t too bad.

Did this post make you go hmm?

in superstar mode your agent tells you to go to MY WEB and look at the endorsement deals on the Company tab.
Don’t see a Company tab or endorsement deals????

David,
When you are creating the team you can choose at the bottom of the first screen what type of team you want or something like that. Choose fantasy and you can add any player you want from any team including your created players.
