Adwords lawsuit includes Howard Stern? |
A rumour is circulating that Howard Stern is a Google Adwords customer and is named along with other plantiffs in a lawsuit against Google that they wish to have class action status. Why?
They say that Google’s daily budget limits are misrepresented and that Google “continues to bill plaintiffs and all other members of the class in excess of the daily budgets,” creating in effect a monthly budget limit made up of the sum of the daily budget multiplied by the number of days in the month.
First of all, I’m skeptical that Howard Stern would sue over this, as is at least one other digg user. Secondly, if there is indeed evidence that this over budget charging occured (or is still occurring) then it could be very costly if this one actually makes it to court. I don’t think it makes it to court though.
This allegation seems much worse to me than CNET getting the cold shoulder for a year. Have to keep an eye on how this one developes.
Did this post make you go hmm?
